What are the two basic components to make meditation sucessful


For some people, concentration is the number one purpose and goal in their meditation practice because one the mind becomes concentrated, it tends to leave behind everything else such as worries, thoughts and mental problems and becomes happy. Another ingredient to meditation is awareness, and just like concentration, awareness can be cultivated and developed. When these two aspects of meditation come together, concentration and awareness, we have our practice. Practice helps to define these two aspects of meditation, as well as the important aspect of relaxation of the body and stillness of mind and how we can use all of these together to complete our meditation experience.
